An agent at an insurance office is facing indecent assault charges for allegedly sexually harassing a 70-year-old female colleague.
Police charged the 54-year-old man with four counts of indecent assault, and one count each of indecent exposure, harassment and open lewdness in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred at his insurance office.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police she has worked at the office for six years and the man "got increasingly rude and crude" after his birthday. The victim alleged that the man showed her offensive jokes and pictures of naked men and women despite her objections.
The victim alleged he called her into his office during lunch when the other agent was out and exposed his genitals, forcing her to touch him and masturbating in front of her. She told police she endured the harassment until he allegedly called her into his office and grabbed her breast.
Police said the victim told her husband, who reported the behavior to the other agent. The victim said she was reluctant to report the behavior because she needs her salary and it is difficult to find a job at age 70. |
