A man is accused of raping a 51-year-old woman in her house after hitting her with a metal meat tenderizer.
The 51-year-old man is accused of grabbing and punching the woman and hitting her in the mouth with the tenderizer before forcing sex in her house, according to a police affidavit.
In the report, police said the tenderizer -- similar to a hammer -- knocked out a front tooth that was found in pieces on the floor of the woman's bedroom.
The woman told police that she has known him for about three years, but they had not been intimate even though he allegedly asked for a physical relationship.
Police said the two met at the woman's house a couple weeks ago, where, according to the woman, he was drinking all afternoon.
At about 6:30 p.m., they left to pick up a friend and watched a fireworks display.
Later, the man and the friend argued in the car. The perpetrator made her stop her car so the man could get out.
The two arrived at the woman's house just before 3 a.m. and the woman changed into her night gown.
The perpetrator allegedly asked the woman to sit next to him on the bed. When she refused, he allegedly grabbed her, threw her on the bed and hit her, and threatened that she would never again see her child unless she cooperated, police said.
After sex, he wouldn't allow the woman to use her telephone. He eventually left after the woman told him the attack would "be our little secret," according to police.
Later that morning, the woman went to an area hospital where she told them she had been raped. Tests were done and police were called.
He was arraigned and was being held in county prison in lieu of $200,000 bond.
He is charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled. |
