A man accused of using a knife and pepper spray during a sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman has been charged with felony rape and related offenses.
A detective said the 24-year-old man forced the woman into a chair inside their residence. Police said the man then threatened to kill her with a knife, cut her hand then cut himself, smearing his blood into the victim's mouth and face. He then allegedly sprayed her shirt with pepper spray, forcing her to take it off before rubbing the shirt in her face.
Police said he forced the woman to perform a sexual act on him and struck her with a beer bottle. He is accused of forcing her to drop her cell phone into a sink full of water so she could not call for help. When she attempted to run from the residence, police said he choked her and threw her to the ground.
The woman eventually got away and called police from another residence. Officers reportedly located numerous items thrown into a Dumpster that are linked to the alleged crime.
In addition to rape, the man is charged with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor counts of indecent assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person. He was committed to county prison. |
